When Cracks Appear
2013
In hindsight the signs where there. Frequent memory loss, confusion and inability to perform everyday tasks. It was put down to old age and even now it’s hard to identify the exact time it began.
“When cracks appear” is a personal story of when small, incidental and out of character behaviours build up to the point where they get given a name.
Using hand embroidered napkins, noting the subtle and progressive changes that eventually accumulate into a changed final state. The final napkin is delicate, fragile and requiring nurturing and must be handled with care.
