    All the pieces below were made with either remnant fabrics,

    natural fibres and branches

    to create small, functional and aesthetic pieces. 

  • The motivation of these various pieces was to stay true to the goal of repurposing fabrics, glass or other resources, incorporating solar power where possible and adding functionality to the mix. This resulted in a year of experimentation, colour and some interesting connections to other art pieces.

    Solar Powered LED Lanterns

    Lanterns, sturdy with metal frames and lit with solar powered LED lights. These pieces are covered in beautiful delicate 'repurposed' and discontinued designer fabrics.

    A series of lanterns made from jars with a solar cell lid and a string of LED lights, displayed on a branch and stabilised with a heavy base. These round pieces are covered in beautiful delicate antique fabrics fund in Op Shops. Simple execution celebrating the power of solar energy.

    Fabric Covered Planters

    Plant holders are made from recycled sample upholstery fabrics. Textured with subtle colours these plant holders are all different and unique. Leather plant holders are made from remnant upholstery fabrics found at Reverse Garbage. The leather is contrasted with vibrant coloured materials in a simple woven design. They are ideal for undercover balconies or patios, out of direct sunlight.

    Plant holders are made from recycled samples of upholstery fabrics. Textured with subtle colours these plant holders are all different and unique. They are ideal for undercover balconies or patios, out of direct sunlight and highlight the beauty of imperfection.

    Decorated Glass Bottles

    Glass vase range suitable as flower vases, sugar holders or just to brighten up a window. Glass bottles sourced from a recycler and lace materials from offcuts and Op shops. As each is individually crafted from small cuts of remnant fabrics, each
    piece is unique.

    Reclaim the Night

    These pieces use remnant fabrics on a base made from old CDs and lit with small LED lights.
