Reclaim in the Park March 2013

What happens when the pieces are located back in the natural environment, back where the original fallen tree branches were harvested? The tree species chosen were the local eucalypt trees that were shedding bark and creating the voids then filled with the crocheted pieces.  The remnant crocheted materials were directly sewn around the suitable branches without harming the tree. As they have a wax coating, they are resistant to sunlight conditions and wet weather. The works were extended by using battery operated LED (high efficiency) lights to accentuate the crochets needlework at dusk and night.
